Are the materials you use to construct your bows safe for my pet?TOP All of our bows and collars are made with your pet's safety in mind. We do not use any harmful wires or glues while making our bows. Most items are securely hand sewn (when applicable) into place. The only exception to this rule is with our barrettes, and bows that require barrettes attached to the back of them, Marabou and other various items. These items are glued with a non-toxic hot glue. It is each individual's responsibility to determine the suitability of our products for their pet, perfectdogbows.com and its owners cannot be held responsible for any injury or damage that may result from the use of our products. NOTE: OUR PET COLLARS, HARNESSES AND LEASHES ARE NOT MADE FOR TIE OUT USE. OUR PRODUCTS ARE DESIGNED FOR SUPERVISED USE ONLY. LEAVING A PET UNATTENDED OR CAGED WHILE WEARING A HARNESS OR COLLAR MAY CAUSE INJURY. Bows with a BARRETTE attatchment should be worn only by pets that are supervised as barrettes can become dis lodged from the bow and thus cause a possible choking hazard.
What if I want a metal clip barrette instead of latex bands?TOP
Disclaimer: Perfect Dog Bows is not responsible in the event of injury or accidents associated with the metal barrette attatchemts to the back of our bows.
All bows are shipped with two small professional grade latex bands that have been securely sewn into place on the back of each bow, we HIGHLY recommend the use of latex bands over the barrette option. With that said, metal clip barrettes are available with most of our 5/8" and 7/8" bows; if the barrette option is available for a particular bow, it will have a purchase option listed with the bow. We are sorry but the 3/8" bows, loopy bows and 5/8" x 1" bows are not designed for the barrette option. Because we consider barrettes a "custom" item, bows that have had barrettes attached are not returnable items.Barrettes are a personal choice, we recommend latex bands for a better hold. If you are in doubt on which choice is best for you, we recommend the purchase of one bow of each style and that way you can personally test what will work best for you and your pet. Note: The best way to attatch barrettes to the backs of our bows is with a non-toxic hot glue, thread does have a tendancy to break. Because we feel that the glue method is best, keep in mind it is still not as sturdy and safe a a latex band and ALL pets should be SUPERVISED while your pet is wearing these bows as barrettes can fall off and pose a possible choking hazard for your pet! Furthermore, keep in mind that the small 30mm barrettes are fragile and can come apart! Care should be taken when placed into your pet's hair. Do not place too much hair into the barrette or press to hard on the release bar as both can damage the barrette. Should a barrette become dis-lodged from a bow, simply remove any excess glue and re-attatch with a high temp hot glue.
Are latex bands better than barrettes?TOP The choice to use a latex band or a barrette is a personal preference and one usually made after you have personally tried both options to see what will work best for you and your pet. Our French Barrettes are designed for ease while placing a bow in your pets hair, they will hold fast in most hair types and usually are easier when you are working with a small puppy or active pet. Latex bands are the preferred method for bow placement by us here at Perfect Dog bows, refer to our Top Knot Guide if you need help with bow placement. Please note: The purchase of bows with barrettes is at your own risk, a barrette can become dis-lodged from the bow thus the possibility of ingestion by a pet is possible. Please use caution when purchasing bows with barrettes. Perfect Dog Bows highly recommends latex bands as the preferred method of bow placement.

Why are there two latex bands attatched to my bow?TOP We secure two professional grade latex bands to the back of each bow, so your bows can be used repeatedly. Customarily, our client's use one latex band to attach the bow and the other is used for a back up for future use should one band break. Additional latex bands are available on our website for a nominal fee, under the Accessories Category should you need an extra band. The bands can simply be "slip stitched" to the back of the bows for extended wearability.
Do you take special request and custom orders?TOP Sure! We have many customer's who have requested special orders. Send us an email with your request, be as specific as possible (color, designs, center decoration), and we will try to custom make your bows as close to your request as possible. Please be advised, because your bows were specially designed for you, we do not allow returns or refunds on specially requested and custom items. Additional costs may apply for custom orders.
How long will it take for my bows to be shipped?TOP
Your order will ship based upon our current Shipping Schedule, HOWEVER this can vary from time to time especially during the Christmas season AND YOU SHOULD ALWAYS CHECK OUR CURRENT SHIPPING SCHEDULE PRIOR TO PLACEMENT OF YOUR ORDER.Each Pawsitivley Perfect Bow is handcrafted when your payment has been received, orders are processed on a first come first served basis. Special custom orders and large orders over $125 may take a bit longer, feel free to email me for a shipping estimate.

SPECIAL NOTE: Our shipping schedule is APPROXIMATE. Buyer shall not be entitled to any chargebacks, price reductions or other offsets as a result of a late shipment or failure to deliver in estimated time of delivery. Please, check our SHIPPING SCHEDULE before you place your order so that you are aware of our schedule. If you are not able to adhere to our shipment schedules, than please do not order.

We strive to ship all orders complete, correct and with top quality merchandise. All orders are considered final after 10 days. If you should need to make a return please follow these guidelines:
All returns must be pre-authorized by Perfect Dog Bows.
We do not accept returns on custom merchandise or bows that have had barrettes attached. (no exceptions)
ALL items must be returned in their original un-used condition and packaged with care IN A CRUSH PROOF BOX so the items are not damaged in transit.
All sales are considered FINAL after 10 days from receipt of your package. If you should receive a defective item, it is YOUR responsibility to notify us IMMEDIATELY.
Due to the nature of our items,I will refund all but a 20% restock fee and your shipping fees. Please understand that each bow, collar and leash is HANDMADE, I feel it only fair that I should be reimbursed for my time spent crafting your order. Items that you received defective will not be subject to this rule, however I will not refund shipping fees for ANY reason. If you received the free shipping option upon check out, I will also deduct this fee from your refund.
Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer.
Refunds will be made back to you in the original form of payment, (IE: Paypal, US check, Visa or Mastercard credited. etc.)
SHIPPING costs will NOT be refunded only the initial purchase price of the item in question.
Because all orders are handmade when your order is placed, we require you to follow these guidelines should you need to cancel your order.
Contact us within 24 hours of order placement via email or call us us (231) 231-652-7618 to notify us of the cancellation. DO NOT assume your order has been canceled until you receive an email back from Perfect Dog Bows confirming your request.
Absoutely NO CANCELLATIONS will be allowed after 24 hours and your credit card will be charged accordingly for your order.
Shopping with Perfect Dog bows is easy! To use our handy online cart system, simply follow these basic steps for order check out. You can always call in your order to us (231) 652-7618 or email us if you are having ordering problems!
1. Go thru our website and chose the products you would like to place in your shopping cart, when you find an item that you would like to purchase, simply click on the PINK BUY NOWbutton to add the item to your cart.
2. Once you have placed all of the items you would like into your shopping cart and you are ready to check out, click on the PINK VIEW CART button located at the top of every page in the upper right hand corner. Anytime you wish to view the items in your cart, you can click on the View Cart Button, this will bring up your cart for you to check the items you have purchased. If you want to do more shopping at this point simply click on the CONTINUE SHOPPING link that is located at the top and bottom of the page in the shopping cart...this will take you back into my store to do more shopping.
3. Now that you are in your shopping cart and ready to CHECK OUT, review your order and chose the proper shipping method that best suites your order. This is done by selecting from the drop down box under all the items that are in your cart. Once you have chosen your shipping method, go to the bottom of your cart and click on the GREY RECALCULATE BUTTON. This will recalculate your cart total to reflect the proper amounts.
4. If you are a US customer and would like to add postal insurance to your order, you can click on the GREY ADD INSURANCE button located directly under the drop down box for your shipping selection, select the proper amount that best fits your order and then click on thePINK BUY NOWbutton to add the INSURANCE to your cart.
5. Now you are ready to scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the GREY GO TO PAYMENTS BUTTON. This is where you will add all of your shipping & credit card details.
6. Now, type in all of your shipping information, if you have a large order you may have to scroll down the page by using the arrows on the right to get to the area where you will need to put in your shipping info.
6. Now click on the GREY CONTINUE BUTTON located at the bottom of the page.
7. Now you can select what payment method you would like to use.
8. Once you have selected your payment method, click on the GREY CONTINUE BUTTON located at the bottom of the page.
9. If you are paying with a DEBIT OR CREDIT CARD than you will need to put in your information and then click on the GREY CONTINUE BUTTON and you are pretty much done.
If your payment method is: MONEY ORDER, CALL IN CARD NUMBER OR PERSONAL CHECK then click on the GREY CONTINUE BUTTON and you are done.
If your payment method is PAYPAL: You will be taken to your Paypal login where you will need to login to your Paypal account and follow the directions there.
When will my Credit Card be billed?TOP When you place your order, it is automatically put into pre-production in the order in which it was received. Due to the handmade nature of our products, your credit card is charged immediately when your order is placed.
